Roger 0.1.2

Current

The corrected, ad-hoc-signed bootstrap release for Roger Desktop.

  • Free ad-hoc signing seals the complete Electron bundle for its internal integrity.
  • Replaces the unsigned 0.1.1 package that macOS could report as damaged.
  • Keeps authenticated future update discovery while installation remains explicit.

More than a chat window. A working crew.

01 / DIRECT

Plan, then build

Switch between deliberate architecture and hands-on implementation without losing the thread.

02 / CREW

Run specialists in parallel

Dispatch planners, developers, reviewers, and workers from the Mission Board.

03 / LOCAL

Keep the controls close

Project files, Git, MCP tools, secure local keys, model choice, and usage controls live in one cockpit.

A clear first launch ritual.

  1. 01

    Download the official DMG

Select Download Roger for Mac on this site. When the download finishes, open the DMG from Downloads.

  2. 02

    Move Roger into Applications

In the Finder window, drag the Roger icon onto the Applications folder. If you are updating, choose Replace when Finder asks.

  3. 03

    Try launching once

Open Roger from Applications. Dismiss the expected macOS warning; this records the app so the per-app approval becomes available.

  4. 04

    Approve Roger, then launch it

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the security message for Roger, choose Open Anyway, and authenticate with your Mac password or Touch ID. Then open Roger again from Applications.

Never disable Gatekeeper. Open Anyway approves Roger specifically; it does not lower protection for other apps.

Future updates wait for your say-so.

After 0.1.2 is installed, Roger authenticates future in-app update manifests with Ed25519 and verifies each downloaded DMG's signed size and SHA-256 before opening it. This is separate from the first browser download, which you can verify yourself below. Roger never auto-installs, removes quarantine, or restarts your Mac.
